Chapter 1: The Sun
The Sun in your birth chart represents the primary creative
thrust for this lifetime, those qualities you are to develop (or
further develop) and express, and your current life focus. This
may be in harmony with your instincts and your emotional habits,
or along completely different lines. The Sun represents your
conscious identity in this lifetime.
Sun in Libra:
In this lifetime your guiding principle or underlying
motivation is the golden mean, the ideal state of balance and
symmetry, the moderate course that avoids extremes, the happy
medium.
An essential aspect of your path involves bringing together
and harmonizing opposing energies, finding a balance and a
meeting point between them and creating bridges so that
interrelationship is possible.
The concept of relationship is key, whether it is the
relationship of colors in a painting, between objects on the
mantel piece, between nations or between two people. You have a
highly developed sense of style or harmonious arrangement, of
correct, appropriate, and beautiful relationships. Aesthetics
are very important to you in your surroundings, in people, in
the manner in which things are done. You are artful (in both
the positive and negative sense) in the way you approach life.
In your personal relations you excel in the art of
compromise and diplomacy. Your subtle touch and fine tuning
regarding what is needed to maintain harmony (or at least a
continued flow of interaction) between the two parties serves
you well in this regard. At your best, you are thoughtful and
considerate, tactful, sweet, and impeccable in your manners. You
view things from a "we" perspective rather than simply I/Me.
However, your desire to create unity or maintain agreeable
relations inclines you to avoid stating the naked truth if you
think it will be unpopular. You may abhor conflict, and at your
worst you will compromise the truth or your own integrity in
order to avoid it. You can be artful in the sense of crafty,
machinating, and disingenuous. You can be charming in a
manipulative way. Perhaps you do not out-and-out lie but you
will prettify the truth to make it more acceptable, more
palatable. Going solo is not your path in life, and because of

may lack confidence of your own.
You are keenly aware of polarities, the yin/yang of life,
and of "the other" (the other side of the coin, the other

and you have both the gift and the desire to blend the two, a

need for a consensus and for others' approval, can make you
indecisive, uncertain of yourself, and disinclined to make
waves. But although you will accommodate and compromise a great
deal, you do have a strong inner sense of fairness and balance.
Reciprocity and equality in relationships are so important to
you that you will usually take a stand when your sense of
fairness is being violated.
An idealist at heart, it is sometimes hard for you to
accept that life is not always fair and that it has its dirty

impulses that are not beautiful or "nice" is something you find

Sun Opposition Jupiter:
Part of your soul purpose is to promote growth and
expansion, whether material, intellectual, or spiritual. You
are impelled to be involved in large enterprises that have broad
social consequences and influence many people, and you need a
rather large arena in which to make the impact you wish. You
dream BIG dreams and generally possess the self confidence to
promote yourself and your ideas on a wide scale. Your
willingness to take risks and to branch out into areas you have
yet to explore, along with your ability to project into the
future and to see the big picture, all add to your capacity to
come to prominence and succeed in life in a big way. However,
just as unchecked growth and over-development can lead to
undesirable consequences for, say, the natural environment, so
too can your own urge for "more" or "bigger" have harmful
effects. When out of balance, you are prone to exaggerate, to be
ostentatious and pretentious, to be overly optimistic and
promise things that you can not reasonably do, and to be

and thus expect things to come easily to you. Generally they do,
but relying too much on this kind of luck can lead to errors of
judgment on your part, not to mention major disappointments. On
a physical level, over consumption could lead to overweight
and/or problems with your liver.
At your finest, though, you have a generous heart, a
positive spirit, and the desire to live for something bigger
than yourself. Using these gifts, you can contribute much good
to the world as well as your own spiritual refinement. The
qualities of hope and joy are also yours to transmit to the
world.
Sun Conjunct Saturn:
This incarnation is a particularly crucial and significant
one for you, in that all of the qualities and themes discussed
above are issues you have been faced with and quite possibly
failed at in some way in your incarnational past. Thus, you are
charged with the mission of addressing the mistakes and "getting
it right this time". Learning to be responsible for yourself
and your actions is the key here, and thus you are not likely to
be very easy and natural with the energies described above.
Feelings of personal inadequacy and fear of failure can inhibit
your self-expression considerably. You seem to work harder and
struggle more than most and probably more than is necessary.
Life itself may seem to be a test or trial!
In this lifetime self-understanding and self-unfoldment
comes through outer frustration or isolation, particularly in
the first half of life. Discovering who you are and developing
your strength and your inner resources by being cut off from

Chapter 2: Saturn, Your Achilles Heel
Karmically considered, the placement of Saturn in your
birth chart indicates where your energetic blockages, weaknesses
and fears lie, and the areas of your life where the most
concentrated effort and discipline will be required to master
and overcome them. Yet it also points to the aspects of life
which can become your greatest strength if you are willing to
face your fears and difficulties honestly, and work with them
patiently.
Saturn in Libra
Finding a balance in your life between participating in a
close relationship, and attending to your own requirements and
your own personal development, is a crucial issue for you in
this lifetime, and not a particularly easy one. For you,
relationships with people usually come at a rather steep cost,
and they may seem more of a burden or more work than mutual
pleasure. You may thus enter into personal relationships
cautiously and reluctantly, or you may reserve some part of
yourself and, in effect, refuse to be fully engaged. Expecting,
at some level, to be disappointed, you opt not to invest
yourself entirely, and then wonder why you do not feel
fulfilled, why there is a vacuum. At other times, you may find
yourself taking on much more than your fair share in your
partnerships, and can even martyr yourself for the sake of a
friendship, marriage or other cooperative endeavor. Because of

In this lifetime any tendency you have had toward over
expansion or overblown aspirations is checked. Your mobility and
freedom may be severely limited in some way, perhap due to
fluctuating financial circumstances, physical ailments, or
unalterable personal commitments. Many ups and downs will test
your faith.
Your big challenge is to recognize and accept boundaries
and limitations, while working in regular, consistent ways
toward improving your life or position. Developing patience and
contentment with the process is important, otherwise you are apt
to swing high and low, and to lose faith and confidence. An
attitude of "voluntary simplicity" can be helpful.
Saturn SemiSquare Pluto:
You have an opportunity in this lifetime to clear away some
very deep and destructive karmic patterns which are related to
ancestral and group experience as well as the personal,
experiences such as devastating loss and/or mass death. In
order to release yourself from the psychic wounds you carry, you
will have to enter into the darkest regions of humanity and your
own soul. Periods of isolation and deep loneliness, or feelings
of being cut off from all external sources of support are also a
part of this pattern.
You may find yourself drawn to periods in history that seem
to touch a deep chord within you. You are drawn to times in
which cruelty, oppression, misuses and abuses of power and very
dark forces were at work, such as the Nazi holocaust, the
inquisition, witch burnings. In whatever ways you find to clear
away the fears, hatred, bitterness, and desire to retaliate or
destroy, etc. that you harbor from those times, you will be
contributing to healing these atrocities on a mass level as
well. You may also carry a powerful unconscious charge of guilt
related to your own past abuses which can lead to self
destructive urges. Bringing this into a place where forgiveness
and release can happen is very important soul work for you.
Chapter 3: The Hard Aspects
The following is a description of your MAJOR LIFE
CHALLENGES, both in terms of energies you are to learn to
develop and express in a positive way, and those which are the
result of struggles and unresolved karmic issues which you have
brought into this life.
Venus Conjunct Mars:
In this lifetime the erotic impulses of human love, desire,
and sexual relationships are a highly charged focus of your
attention. Expressing your sexual energies and personal
magnetic attractiveness in ways that are loving and respectful
or at least not harmful to yourself and others will be one of
your issues. Dominating others through your sexuality or
allowing yourself to be dominated in this way is also a theme.
Dissonance or turbulence in intimate relationships, especially
over differences in sexual drives or needs, must be handled with
care. Expressing your passion in ways that are compatible with
your own values and sense of beauty is the key here.
On another level, balancing and integrating masculine and
feminine energies within yourself is the challenge. Carrying or
wearing watermelon tourmaline can be quite useful along these
lines.
Venus SemiSquare Neptune:
You are in love with love, and your path in life, as well
as many of your challenges, involves understanding and
experiencing the realm of the heart. Irresistibly romantic, you
have the soul of a poet, a devotee, and above all, a lover.
In its earliest stages of development, this pattern within
inclines you to be easily seduced, overcome with emotional
yearning and infatuation, unable to discern the motives and
intentions of others, particularly if the other person appears
beautiful, soft, innocent, or in need. You can confuse pity with

You are like a very high-spirited, temperamental horse,
full of great energy and drive, but also impulsive, erratic,
fitful, and prone to sudden starts and stops. Also there is
within you a fierce independence, a strong craving for freedom,

contentedly serene for long. Under conditions that are too
