You have an underlying need to find more spiritual fulfillment in your career and may suddenly question the path you’ve been on, even if it’s been satisfying up to this point. It’s very difficult to distinguish between reality and fantasy and you may be captivated by a new career direction that promises great rewards, but is built on your expectations and desires more than on any realistic foundation. You may fly off in pursuit of this vision, completely unprepared to handle the everyday responsibilities of the project. It’s also possible that you’ll be forced to change your career due to external forces, such as being fired from your job or because your particular talent is no longer needed. Loss and confusion are quite normal during this time and it will be more difficult to build solid structures in the outside world. You may even be forced to adjust your home life or relocate as a result of the changes in your career. It’s easy to be discouraged as so much of this seems to be out of your control, but you have to trust that you won’t lose anything you really need. What’s most surprising about this process is that even though you’ll hit quite a few dead-ends and may experience some failures during this time, at the end of this cycle you’ll often be exactly where you need to be.
